The panel comprised a number of high profile ladies from across various business disciplines from within Northern Ireland.
The group was ably headed by new WIB member Pamela Ballantine. Pamela is a freelance Northern Irish television presenter, best known for her 27 year career at UTV.
Professor Yvonne Galligan, QUB
Yvonne Galligan is Professor in the School of Politics, International Studies and Philosophy at Queens University - Belfast. Yvonne is Chair of the Queen's Gender Initiative and runs the 'Women into Politics' programme through her academic work.
Anna Lo - MLA
Anna was born in Hong Kong and worked in London for a year prior to coming to live in Northern Ireland in 1974. She was awarded an MBE in 1999 for Services to Ethnic Minorities. In March 2007, she was elected to serve as the MLA for South Belfast for the Alliance Party, and consequently the first ethnic Chinese person to be elected to a legislative parliament in Europe. Anna is a member of the Assembly committees for Employment & Learning, and Social Development.
Lesley Hogg - AES Kilroot Power Ltd
Director of Strategic and Regulatory affairs for AES in Northern Ireland. AES is the largest independent electricity generator in Ireland. Prior to this, Lesley was the CEO of Premier Power Ltd owner of Ballylumford Power Station.
Tracy Hamilton - Mash Direct Ltd
Tracy is a Director of Mash Direct Ltd. She is the first female to sit on the Board of NIFDA ( Northern Ireland Food and Drink Association ) and also sits on the Board of Food NI and the Industry Advisory Panel.
Christine Boyle - WIB, Past Chair
Christine is Managing Director of Lawell Asphalt Company Ltd. in the construction sector, specialising in Roofing and Waterproofing. Christine was a founder member of the Women in Business Network.
I always find the Women in Business events great fun and very inspiring. This event was no exception. We were able to hear how these successful ladies managed to juggle family life and business commitments and still come out ahead.
